Building the Buffalo

With the Buffalo Bicycle, World Bicycle Relief has developed an extremely robust bike for countries in the Global South. The NGO aims to deliver one million bikes by 2025 – helping up to five million people become more mobile.

Building the Buffalo tells the story of this remarkable means of transportation. Both the test riders from Kenya and the engineers from the USA collaborate to better adapt the Buffalo Bicycle to the harsh local conditions. The goal is to enable more children to cycle to school and to simplify commutes, goods transportation, and access to healthcare in underserved regions.
